
The Deputy Commissioner welcomed the anti-drug campaign on its arrival in the district
Nawanshahr - State Information Commissioner writer Khushwant Singh's anti-drug campaign which started from New Chandigarh and reached village Taunsa district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar today was welcomed by Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa. On this occasion, Assistant Commissioner (J) Dr. Gurleen Kaur was also specially present with him.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the message of the Jan Yatra against drugs started by the State Information Commissioner writer Khushwant Singh reached every house. He also appreciated them for their efforts. He said that this awareness walk started from New Chandigarh and will end at Khatkar Kalan on December 15.
While talking to the journalists, the writer Khushwant Singh said that he had started the public journey against drugs alone and he is getting a lot of support from the people and the administration from different districts. He said that he said that his main purpose is that parents should take special care of children from 13 to 18 years and guide them if they fall into bad company.
Navneet Kaur Dhillon, Miss India, Ankit Chhabra, Subhash Chandra Sharma, Miss Manjit Pentral, Punjab Good Governance Fellow Sanjana Saxena, SHO Pankaj Sharma and other personalities were also present on this occasion.
