Chandigarh- President of Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha Chandigarh and Project Incharge of Bhai Jaita Ji Foundation of India Principal Bahadur Singh Gosal, in a letter written to the Chairman of the Navodaya Schools Committee of the Government of India, has demanded that the Navodaya Samiti extend the date of admission test for class 6 from December 2025 to February 2026 this year.
He said that earlier also these tests are held in February every year but this year they have been held in December 2025. He further said that at present due to the terrible floods in Punjab for a long time, the situation of education in schools has been critical and the children of class 5 have got very little time to prepare for the papers due to which students, parents and teachers are worried.
This national level test is very difficult but important, so children should get good time to prepare. He also said that these children get a chance to get admission in Navodaya schools only once in their life, so this opportunity should be used wisely.
Principal Gosal said that Bhai Jaita Ji Foundation Chandigarh has been providing free coaching to class 5 children for admission in Navodaya schools for the last many years and has so far admitted 1500 children in Navodaya schools. Therefore, it is demanded that children get good time for preparation.
