Hoshiarpur- Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab successfully organized a vibrant celebration of International Literacy Day today. The event highlighted the importance of literacy and leadership in building a resilient society to students, educators and special guests.
Dr. Madhu Sudan spoke on the importance of Literacy Day, its agenda and the important role of literacy in empowering individuals and promoting inclusive communities. She emphasized that literacy is not only a basic human right but also a foundation for lifelong learning and social development.
Dr. Loveleen delivered a powerful speech on the importance of leadership qualities in disaster management, highlighting how effective leadership can play a significant role in crisis response and community cohesion during natural and man-made disasters.
The programme was coordinated by the NSS unit of the university under the supervision of Ms. Ratan Kaur, Programme Coordinator. A quiz competition was also organised, in which various school teams participated enthusiastically, promoting awareness and knowledge sharing among the young students.
Shri N. S. Riyat, Chancellor Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He appreciated the performance of the students.
Prof. B. S. Satyal, Registrar, Dr. Navneet Chopra, Dean Academic Lamrin Tech Skills University were the special guests on the occasion and appreciated the efforts of the NSS team and the students.
All the senior officers of LTSU were present to show their support for the occasion.
The celebration was a reminder of the collective responsibility of promoting literacy and leadership in all walks of life. It also showcased LTSU Punjab’s continued commitment towards community cohesion and youth development.
