
District Shooting Championship 2025; Mohali Siblings Aditya and Navyansha Bakshi Shine with Three Golds and One Bronze
SAS Nagar, July 19: Mohali siblings Aditya Bakshi (Class 8) and Navyansha Bakshi (Class 6) showcased exceptional marksmanship by winning three gold medals and one bronze at the District Shooting Championship 2025. The two-day event was organized by the District Rifle Shooting Association at the Shooting Range, Phase 6, Mohali.
SAS Nagar, July 19: Mohali siblings Aditya Bakshi (Class 8) and Navyansha Bakshi (Class 6) showcased exceptional marksmanship by winning three gold medals and one bronze at the District Shooting Championship 2025. The two-day event was organized by the District Rifle Shooting Association at the Shooting Range, Phase 6, Mohali.
Providing details of the event, General Secretary Ramdeep Partap shared that the competition commenced yesterday and concluded today with the prize distribution ceremony.
In the 10 Meter Air Pistol Women (Under-14) category, Navyansha Bakshi secured the gold medal with a score of 355, followed by Vanivi Gaur (354) and Jasmeen Kaur (345), who stood second and third respectively.
In the 10 Meter Air Pistol Women Sub Youth (Under-20) category, Nadrat Grewal topped the chart with 375 points, followed by Simran Rathore (370), while Navyansha Bakshi bagged the bronze medal with a score of 355.
In the Men’s 10 Meter Air Pistol (Under-14) event, Aditya Bakshi clinched the gold medal with a score of 372, while Prabhsimran Singh and Stanam Singh stood joint second and third with 367 points.
Continuing his winning streak, Aditya Bakshi also secured the gold in the Men’s 10 Meter Air Pistol Sub Youth (Under-19) category, again scoring 372, ahead of Harjot Singh (366) and Samarvir Singh Dhanju (359).
Congratulating the siblings, their coach Pardeep Pal expressed confidence in their potential, calling them rare talents in the sport. Their father, Bharat Bakhshi, shared his pride in their achievements, adding that both children are being trained at Sprout Shooting Academy under the guidance of Director Mukul Sharma, while pursuing their studies at St. Stephen’s School, Sector 45.
