Chandigarh - 04-03-2024:- The Horticulture Wing of the Engineering Department, PGIMER, Chandigarh, has made the institute proud by winning Champions Trophy at 36th Spring Fest- Flower Festival, 2024  organized by Haryana Shehari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), Panchkula at Town Park, Sector 5, Panchkula. Under the banner of Director PGI, the horticulture wing participated in the flower competition and brought laurels to the institute by winning Champion’s Trophy/Top Position for the 3rd consecutive year in the flower competition
The Engineering Department's horticulture wing showcased their exceptional talent and expertise in the competition, securing a total of 34 awards across various categories, of these, 20 Nos. 1st  prizes   and 14 Nos. 2nd  prizes were won in the Pot Section and cut flower section. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the horticulture team at PGIMER. The consistent success of the PGI horticulture wing highlights their commitment to excellence and their ability to create stunning floral displays that captivate visitors and judges alike. Earlier, the horticulture wing won Top Position in the recently concluded Rose Festival, Sector-16, Chandigarh also for the 3rd consecutive year
