Nawanshahr- Today, SS Jain Sabha Nawanshahr President Surinder Jain, Advisor Achal Jain, General Secretary Ratan Kumar Jain submitted a demand letter to Shri Akunarjit Singh Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Bhagat Singh!
In which it was demanded that like in previous years, shops selling eggs, meat etc. and slaughterhouses should be closed in the entire district on Wednesday, 27th August 2025, the day of the biggest festival of Jainism, Samvatsari Mahaparva.
So that that day can be celebrated properly as Ahimsa Diwas! General Secretary Ratan Kumar Jain said that on this day, the great festival of Jainism, Samvatsari, is being celebrated all over the country. This day is celebrated as Ahimsa Diwas all over India. That day is also celebrated as Forgiveness Day!
