The Department of Nuclear Medicine at PGIMER Chandigarh,  is proud to announce the upcoming CME  on "Radiopharmaceuticals: Chemistry to Precision Medicine," scheduled to take place on 30th March 2024. With a rich history of pioneering nuclear medicine techniques in the country, the department is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic services using radiopharmaceuticals

Under the auspices of the Indian College of Nuclear Medicine, this CME aims to bring together experts and professionals in the field of Nuclear Medicine for exploration and discussion of the latest advances, trends, and challenges in radio pharmacy. Prof. and Head BR Mittal and Prof. Jaya Shukla will serve as the organizing chairperson and secretary for this CME.

Featuring 8 sessions, each chaired by esteemed professionals, and with a lineup of 20 talks by area experts,  the CME will showcase the cutting-edge advancements and challenges in radio pharmacy. Experts from various specializations related to nuclear medicine will share their knowledge, providing valuable insights into the chemistry and precision medicine aspects of radiopharmaceuticals.

Over the years, PGIMER Chandigarh has been at the forefront of research and development in the field of radiopharmaceuticals. The institute has successfully developed novel radiotracers for the treatment of liver cancer, skin cancer, keloid, synovitis, and other conditions. Additionally, several diagnostic radiotracers have been developed, including recently introduced tracers for identifying tiny tumors within the pituitary gland, significantly enhancing patient care.
