
Hoshiarpur residents will get relief from rainwater - Brahm Shankar Jimpa
Hoshiarpur - Cabinet Minister Punjab Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that the problems of the people of Hoshiarpur are being solved by working systematically to solve every problem. He was addressing the residents of the area today while laying the foundation stone of the storm sewer project by the Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board at Shimla Pahari Chowk.

Meanwhile, Mayor Surinder Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Sandeep Tiwari, Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini and Deputy Mayor Ranjit Chaudhary were also present with him. The Cabinet Minister said that the Hoshiarpur residents will get a big relief from this project costing Rs 1.98 crore. He said that during the monsoons, Shimla Hill and its surrounding areas used to get flooded due to which the people had to face a lot of problems. He said that under this project, all the rain water will be discharged into Bhangi Chow by laying a 48 MLDIPS underground pipe line of 450 meters 24 inches and in the future people will not face problems like rain water during rains. Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that along with this project, the problem of rainwater accumulation in other areas of the city will also be solved in the coming days.
