Patiala, January 5 - When Muhammad Umar Khalil, who was arrested under NDPS by the Shambhu police station of the district, was taken to appear in the court at Rajpura today, he tried to evade the police custody. But with the help of the police stationed there, he was arrested and another case was registered against him.
When Khalil jumped from the second floor of the building to escape, he got stuck in a tree and got injured, after which the police caught him. Khalil was arrested yesterday along with his accomplice Tahir Hamid along with 1800 drug capsules and 70 vials of drug. Both of them are said to be residents of Amargarh Sopore village of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir.
