Nawanshahr will get new place for dump, Railway road will also be constructed soon: Dr Ravjot Singh.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, May 13- Punjab Local Bodies Minister Dr Ravjot Singh on Tuesday visited the existing garbage dump site in the city and took stock of the situation and said that the Punjab Government will identify open and suitable place and construct a dump for the convenience of the city residents.

While reviewing the work of laying water pipelines on Railway Road, Local Bodies Minister Dr Ravjot Singh said that Railway Road will soon be constructed in the main market of the city. He said that this road will be a cement road which will prove to be a big convenience for the residents. He said that all the necessary approvals are being given to start the work of laying cement road immediately after the completion of water pipelines.
Giving information about sewerage and STP projects, Dr Ravjot Singh said that new areas and new colonies will also be added in the proposed scheme. He said that this entire project would be completed at a cost of approximately Rs. 48 crore and the Punjab government is fully committed to complete this project.
He said that this project would be very beneficial for the residents of Nawanshahr city. On this occasion, Chairman of Municipal Improvement Trust Satnam Singh Jalwaha, Vice Chairman of Punjab State Technical Education and Industrial Training Board Lalit Mohan Pathak, Chairman of District Planning Committee Satnam Singh Jalalpur etc. were also present.
