Una, November 26 - In view of the availability of essential commodities in the market at quality and reasonable prices to the common people and consumers, District Magistrate Raghav Sharma has issued a notification under the Prevention of Hoarding and Profiteering Order 1977, setting the maximum selling price of essential commodities so that No seller or shopkeeper in the district could charge more than the prescribed price.

According to the notification, in district Una, goat and sheep meat is priced at Rs 500 per kg, pig meat at Rs 250 per kg, chicken broiler at Rs 220 per kg, live chicken at Rs 150 per kg, broiler meat at Rs 210 per kg, while fish at the rate fixed by the Fisheries Department. Can be sold at maximum price.

District Magistrate said that the food cooked at dhabas in the district is full diet rice, chapatti with dal, vegetable and curry for Rs 80, half diet one plate of rice with dal and vegetable for Rs 50, chapatti tawa 7 and tandoori 8 rupees, special vegetable. Rs 70 per plate, Stuffed Parantha with pickle Rs 30, Special dal Rs 70, Rice full plate Rs 50, Raita Rs 50 per plate, Meat 5 pieces 200 grams per plate Rs 130, Chicken 5 pieces 200 grams Rs 110 per plate were determined. Apart from this, two Bhature with gram or vegetable can be sold for Rs 55, Samosa gram for Rs 30 and two Samosa gram for Rs 50 per plate. Similarly, among milk products, milk can be sold at Rs 60 per liter, cheese at Rs 320 and curd at Rs 70 per kilogram.

Raghav Sharma said that every seller or shopkeeper will issue a cash memo to the consumer, a duplicate copy of which will be kept with him for inspection. Apart from this, it will be mandatory to post the rate list of the items signed by the owner or partner or manager of the selling establishment along with the date at the entrance of the establishment. He said that the fixed prices will remain applicable for the next one month. He said that the price rates determined will not be applicable to hotels and restaurants registered with the Tourism Department.
