Girls brighten the name of two families: Dr. Gitanjali Singh

New born "Dhiyan Di Lohri" was celebrated today at Community Health Centre, Rahon. On this occasion, Senior Medical Officer Dr. Gitanjali Singh and Senior Medical Officer Dr. Sonia ji honored 20 newborn girls by giving gifts.

On this occasion, Dr. Gitanjali Singh, Senior Medical Officer of Primary Health Center, Majufarpur and Dr. Sonia, Senior Medical Officer of Community Health Center, Rahon shared their happiness by lighting Lohri. All the staff distributed peanuts and gachak to each other and wished all the girls of the society a bright future.

On this occasion, Dr. Gitanjali Singh, Senior Medical Officer of Primary Health Center, Majufarpur, said that by spreading awareness in the society with such unique efforts of the health department in respect of girls under the PC-PNDT Act. The social evil of killing daughters in the womb is being curbed. Social consciousness and commitment are needed to eradicate this social scourge.
