Una, June 17- District level Aadhaar monitoring committee meeting was held today (Tuesday) in the chamber of Additional Deputy Commissioner Una Mahendra Pal Gurjar under his chairmanship. Officers of various departments participated in the meeting and the status of Aadhaar registration in the district was reviewed.

During the meeting, ADC Mahendra Pal Gurjar directed to give priority to Aadhaar registration of children in the age group of 0 to 5 years. He directed the ICDS department and the District Panchayat office to organize special Aadhaar registration camps at the Panchayat level and Anganwadi centers so that timely registration of all eligible children can be ensured.
The ADC said that it is mandatory to get biometric update done for children in the age group of 5 to 7 years and 15 to 17 years. This biometric update is available free of cost. He directed the concerned departments to run a public awareness campaign in this regard and to disseminate information to as many people as possible.
Along with this, the ADC told that the citizens whose Aadhar cards have been issued 10 to 15 years ago, it is necessary for them to update their documents so that the Aadhar card remains active and there is no hindrance in taking advantage of any government service in future.
Mahendra Pal Gurjar directed all the Sub-Divisional Officers (SDMs) to ensure prompt disposal of pending cases on UIDAI's Service Plus Portal so that the services of Aadhar registration can be made available on time to the citizens above 18 years of age.
On this occasion, SDM Una Vishwa Mohan Dev Chauhan, SDM Gagret Somil Gautam, Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Una Manoj Kumar, E-District Manager Sahil Sharma from Digital Technology and Governance Department and officers from various departments were present.
