Sahil's success shows that when the government is with you, no dream remains incomplete.
Una, June 4- Dreams get wings only when the ground reality gives them space to fly. Despite financial constraints and limited resources, when Sahil, the son of a labourer from Una, dreamt of doing PhD in Chemistry, the path was not easy. But the Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board did not let that dream break. The sensitive schemes of the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu are now becoming a ray of hope for such families. Sahil's success is an example of the fact that when the government is with you, no dream remains incomplete.

Labourer's son, who became a researcher-
Surinder Singh, a resident of village Jwar in subdivision Amb of Una district, has been feeding his family by working as a daily wage labourer for years. His son Sahil was always ahead in studies and dreamt of getting higher education in the field of science. But when it came to MSc and then PhD, financial challenges stood like a wall. Then Himachal Pradesh Shramik Kalyan Board came forward as a boon.
The board provided Sahil with Rs 21,000 for MSc and Rs 1.20 lakh for PhD. Today Sahil is doing PhD in Chemistry from Himachal Pradesh Central University, Dharamshala.
Sahil expressed his gratitude emotionally and said that if the government and the board had not supported him, his dream would have remained just a dream. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Shramik Kalyan Board not only gave him the right to study but also gave him self-confidence.
A touch of sensitivity in policies: Nardev Singh Kanwar
Chairman of Shramik Kalyan Board Nardev Singh Kanwar says that the schemes of the state government are no longer just bringing benefits, they are becoming a change. It is the result of the farsightedness of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu that today every labourer, farmer and unorganized class is feeling connected to the government. When youth like Sahil get an opportunity to move forward, the future of the entire society becomes bright.
State government is committed to make the poor self-reliant and their lives dignified-
