In 1931 Sh. Amolak Ram Chopra, fondly called Kaka, started a humble enterprise in the streets of Lahore. His small roadside eatery was dedicated to serving affordable, quality food. Partition in 1947 moved this culinary gem to New Delhi, where Kaka, undaunted by the chaos, set up shop on the footpaths of Connaught Place.
