Una, July 2- Giving information, Deputy Commissioner State Tax and Excise Una Vinod Singh Dogra said that 8 complaints have been received in district Una regarding charging more than 30 percent of the prescribed MSP at the retail shops L-2 or L-14 of liquor, after investigation of which action has been taken under the Excise Act.

Vinod Singh Dogra said that till last year the maximum selling price of liquor i.e. MRP was being fixed whereas in the financial year 2024-25 the minimum selling price of liquor i.e. MSP has been fixed by the government. According to condition number 10.37 of the annual excise declarations 2024-25, the liquor seller can avail only up to 30 percent profit on MSP.
