
CM Naib Singh Saini made several important announcements while giving a big relief to the farmers and the general public affected by the recent heavy rains in the state.
Chandigarh, October 1 - Giving a big relief to the farmers affected by the heavy rains and flood situation, Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini announced the postponement of payment of electricity bills of tubewell connections in the state till December, 2025. He said that the bills payable till July, 2025 can now be paid without any additional fee till January, 2026, which will provide immediate relief to 7.10 lakh farmers.

The Chief Minister was addressing a press conference here today. Development and Panchayat Minister Mr. Krishan Lal Panwar, Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Mr. Krishan Kumar Bedi and MLA Mr. Randhir Panihar were also present on the occasion.
Announcing the postponement of crop loan recovery, Shri Naib Singh Saini said that in villages where more than 50 percent of crops have been damaged due to floods and the crop loss of the indebted farmers there has been 33 percent or more, the recovery of the ongoing crop loan of the cooperative societies for the Kharif season is postponed from the farmers. Such farmers will also be provided with new crop loan under the Rabi season crop. This decision will benefit about 3 lakh farmers. On this occasion, the Chief Minister directly transferred a total amount of Rs. 4 crore 72 lakh 6 thousand to the accounts of 2,386 families affected by the loss of houses, household goods and livestock due to the recent heavy rains and flood-like situation in several districts of the state. This includes Rs 4 crore 67 lakh 72 thousand for the damage to 2371 houses, Rs 4 lakh 21 thousand for the loss of 13 livestock and Rs 10 thousand for the damage to goods in 2 houses. He said that the recent heavy rains and floods have affected the lives of people in many districts of the state. There has been huge loss of crops, livestock and property, but the government is standing with the affected people at every step. The Chief Minister said that the government had opened the e-Shatipurti portal by September 15 for the compensation of the loss. On this, 5 lakh 37 thousand farmers from 6397 villages of the state have registered an area of ??31 lakh acres. The verification work is in progress and in the areas where crops have been damaged due to water, compensation of up to Rs 15 thousand per acre will be given.
*Purchase of 3.58 lakh metric tonnes of paddy completed, Rs 109 crore received in the accounts of farmers
The Chief Minister said that 5 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has arrived in the state till September 30, out of which the purchase of 3.58 lakh metric tonnes has been completed. Rs 109 crore has been paid in the accounts of farmers so far.
*Majra MSP of Rs 2,775 per quintal assured, government will compensate
Similarly, 187.30 metric tonnes of bajra has been purchased by the procurement agencies and 4,970 metric tonnes by the traders. Payment of MSP of Rs 2,775 per quintal will be ensured to the farmers. The government will compensate the remaining amount from the village from which the millet is being purchased by the state procurement agencies. If the millet of a farmer is purchased at a lower price by the traders due to any reason, in that case too, the government will pay the farmers the fixed exchange rate of that day.
*1.71 lakh daughters registered on Lado Lakshmi app in 6 days, first installment will be received from November 1
The Chief Minister said that 1 lakh 71 thousand 946 sisters and daughters have registered on the Lado Lakshmi app launched on September 25 on the Jayanti of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay. He appealed to all eligible women to register soon so that the first installment can be transferred to their accounts from November 1. He said that for this, a toll-free number 18001802231 and a helpline number 01724880500 have also been issued.
*Congress is doing politics in the guise of women's interests - Chief Minister
Taking a dig at the opposition, the Chief Minister said that Congress talks about women's interests only to make politics shine, while at present their governments in the states do not provide any benefits to women. He said that the Haryana government has made a provision of Rs 5,000 crore in the first budget to provide Rs 2100 per month to women as per the promise made in its resolution and now this scheme will reach the beneficiaries from November 1.
