On this occasion, she interacted with the officers and employees present in the mandi and took information about the preparations.

The SDM said that the government has set clear criteria for the procurement of paddy, according to which only that paddy will be purchased whose moisture content will be less than 17 percent. She appealed to the farmers to bring the paddy to the market only after drying it properly so that the procurement process can be done smoothly and no one has to face any kind of problem.
She suggested to the Market Committee officials that special attention should be paid to drinking water, seating arrangements and cleanliness for the farmers. He also said that it is very important to maintain transparency in the market premises and it is the responsibility of the administration to ensure timely payment to the farmers.
During the inspection, SDM Gursimranjit Kaur said that all the concerned departments should work together so that the procurement process of dhan can be completed without any hindrance. She assured that the administration will provide all possible help to the farmers and will not allow them to face any kind of inconvenience.
On this occasion, Food Supply Inspector Kuljit Singh Saini, Mandi Supervisor Kulwinder Kaur, Onkar Singh from Riar Trading Company along with officials of the Mandi Committee and other departments were present. The officials informed the SDM about the arrangements made in the mandi and assured that the procurement work will be completed with complete transparency and simplicity.
Finally, SDM Gursimranjit Kaur appealed to the farmers to follow the government guidelines and bring dhan to the mandis as per the norms. He said that the government is continuously working in the interest of farmers and the administration is fully committed to timely payment and availability of facilities.
