Hisar/Hansi: Senior Congress leader Gayatri Devi launched a scathing attack on the BJP government and said that the BJP has openly cheated the women of Haryana. During the elections, the BJP had promised to give Rs 2100 per month to every woman of the state, but this promise was not fulfilled after coming to power. She said that this is not just a breach of promise but a case of stealing women's votes.
Gayatri Devi accused the BJP that after the formation of the government, instead of giving relief to women, a condition of income of Rs 1 lakh was imposed on them, which is totally unfair and unjust.
She said that since 2014, the BJP has continuously deceived the public with the help of false promises. Neither the old promises were fulfilled nor the recent election announcements. Gayatri Devi said that BJP promised to give 2100 rupees per month to women, but forgot about it after coming to power. With the help of this false promise, BJP got the votes of women, but backed out from fulfilling the promise.
She clearly said that this policy of BJP is not only an insult to women but also a betrayal of them. Gayatri Devi has demanded from the government that it should work to give ?2100 to every woman under Ladli Yojana as per its promise.
