The celebrations began with the flag hoisting ceremony, which was the most important moment of the event. The national flag was hoisted by the esteemed dignitaries of the institute – Managing Director Dr. Arshdeep Singh, Director Administration Mrs. Deepinder Kaur, Campus Director Dr. Vijayta Sharma, Principal Dr. Jatinder Kumar, Associate Dean Mr. Sukhjinder Singh, Head of Department Mechanical Engineering Dr. Ranjit Singh and Director Admissions Mr. Parvinder Singh. As soon as the tricolour was hoisted, the atmosphere reverberated with the singing of the national anthem, which filled every heart with pride and patriotism.
The dignitaries in their brief addresses highlighted the significance of Independence Day and reminded the students and teachers of the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and martyrs for the freedom of the country. They motivated the students and teachers to work with dedication, discipline and determination to contribute towards nation building.
The event witnessed active participation of all the faculty members and came together to pay their respects to the nation. The atmosphere of the campus was filled with patriotic songs, slogans and a spirit of unity, reflecting the true essence of Independence Day.
Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director Dr. Arshdeep Singh emphasized the role of education in building responsible citizens for the future of the country. Director Administration Mrs. Deepinder Kaur appreciated the collective efforts of the faculty and exhorted all to uphold the values of liberty, equality and integrity.
The function concluded with a vote of thanks and distribution of sweets, symbolizing the spirit of joy, harmony and togetherness. The day not only honoured the legacy of India's independence but also revived the commitment of the college fraternity towards the progress of the nation.
