
Digital survey of crops started in the district: Deputy Commissioner.
Hoshiarpur- As per the instructions issued by the Revenue and Rehabilitation Department of the Punjab Government, the district administration has started the digital survey of crops from August 1, which will be completed within the next 45 days.

Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that the district administration is hiring about 834 private surveyors for the survey, who will conduct a crop survey of at least 70 plots daily. She said that the purpose of the digital survey of crops is to collect complete information about the crops sown in the fields through mobile phones, so that the benefits of the services and schemes being provided by the government for the convenience of the farmers can be properly extended to the ground level.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the private surveyors to be hired in the district will be provided with a fixed honorarium. He said that any interested person who has passed 12th and has an Android phone and a bank account can work as a private surveyor by contacting the concerned Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar of his area.
Giving information about the area under survey in the district, he said that a total of 10.58 lakh agricultural plots/khasras will be surveyed, out of which 5.52 lakh plots have been uploaded on the system and the remaining khasras will also be uploaded on the app in the coming days.
Meanwhile, District Revenue Officer Amandeep Chawla said that one surveyor will be appointed for each village. He said that the training of private surveyors hired so far in Hoshiarpur district has been completed and the surveyors to be hired in the coming days will be trained at the subdivision level. He said that interested applicants will get appropriate honorarium and due to limited number, priority will be given to those who come first.
