After Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain's instructions to clear the traffic jam in Kharar, the National Highway Authority, which has come into action, will install five traffic lights to provide relief to motorists.

Deputy Commissioner Jain said that these junctions include Bus Stand Kharar, KFC Cut Under Bij, Nijhar Chowk, Sahora Cut and Badala Chowk.

After the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner N. H. A. I. The team visited these places jointly with the officials of Traffic Police Kharar and the officials of Municipal Council Kharar. The joint inspection team has identified five congested junctions which also pose a risk of accidents due to chaos and congestion.

The Deputy Commissioner said that for better traffic management and to prevent chaos, NHAI has been asked to install traffic lights at the above places with immediate effect. He said that the contractor has been entrusted with the work of Rs 35.52 lakh after the tender was issued by the authority. The traffic lights will be based on intelligent controller system and their installation will be completed by the end of this month.
