Mahilpur- MLA Dr Ishank Kumar inaugurated a tubewell installed at a cost of Rs 11.26 lakh in Handowal village of  Chabbewal assembly constituency. Water will be supplied to about 800 people of the village through 190 connections from this tubewell. Many dignitaries including former CEO of Water Supply and Sanitation Department Puneet Bhasin, SDO Winder Singh Grewal, JE Tajinder Singh and Sarpanch Neelam Kumari were present on the occasion.
On this occasion, MLA Dr Ishank Kumar said that development of basic amenities in villages is the priority of our government. This tubewell will play an important role in raising the standard of living of the people of the villages, our government will improve water supply, sanitation and other basic amenities. We want every village to be equipped with modern facilities, so that people do not have to face any kind of problem. Sarpanch Neelam Kumari expressed her gratitude to the MLA on behalf of all the villagers for this tubewell which is important for the development of the village.
At this time Panchayat members Harpreet Kaur, Jasvir Kaur, Neelam Rana, Ravi Prakash, Sukha Singh, Sukhvir Singh, Talvir Singh, Dilawar Singh, Ravi Kumar and Santosh Singh, Gagandeep Chanthu etc. were also present. They said that with the installation of this tubewell, the long-standing water problem of the village has been solved.
