Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar- For the convenience of people, Punjab government will now make available 27 services of Transport Department and 5 services of Revenue Department at Service Centres or at home.
According to the directions issued by the Good Governance and Information Technology Department of the state government, 27 citizen services related to Sarathi and Vahan Portal of Transport Department will now be made available to the people easily at Service Centres or at home by calling on Call Centre Number 1076. Deputy Commissioner Ankurjit Singh said that these citizen services can be availed through Service Centres and Call Centre 1076.
He informed that the services related to Sarathi Portal of Transport Department include application for learner's license, amendment in address or name on learner's license, issuance of duplicate learner's license, issuance of duplicate driving license, renewal of license which does not require driving test, change of driving license, amendment in address, name or date of birth on driving license, obtaining extract of driving license, surrender of vehicle on license, issuance of Public Service Vehicle (PSV) batch for driver, issuance and renewal of conductor license and extension of learner's license.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that the services related to Vahan Portal include issuance of fitness certificate for commercial vehicles (heavy motor vehicle, manual/automatic), issuance of fitness certificate for commercial vehicles (medium motor vehicle, manual/automatic), issuance of fitness certificate for commercial vehicles (three wheeler or four wheeler or light vehicle), payment of life tax, viewing details of RC, NOC for registration certificate, updating mobile number for record of transport services and correction in address given in registration certificate.
Regarding 5 services related to the Revenue Department, the Deputy Commissioner said that people can now avail the services related to their deed registration, deed writing, advance verification of deed, taking time for submission of deed, payment of stamp duty or other payments at the service centers or by calling 1076.
He said that application for transfer (inheritance or registered deed), application for filing report (related to court order, bank loan/installments or bank loan waiver), application for Fard Badar (amendment or record) and application for digitally signed Fard can be given. He appealed to the people that they can avail the benefits of 439 citizen services with ease and convenience.
