Bhagwant Mann government is soon going to start five more new health services in Aam Aadmi Clinics.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 01 July 2025: The Punjab Government led by Mr. Bhagwant Singh Mann is soon going to start five more new services in the Aam Aadmi Clinics of the state, which include check-up of pregnant women, non-communicable diseases, family planning services, identification and care of malnourished children, anti-rabies vaccination on dog bites.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, 01 July 2025: The Punjab Government led by Mr. Bhagwant Singh Mann is soon going to start five more new services in the Aam Aadmi Clinics of the state, which include check-up of pregnant women, non-communicable diseases, family planning services, identification and care of malnourished children, anti-rabies vaccination on dog bites.
Giving this information, Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain said that on the initiative of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann and on the instructions of Health and Family Welfare Minister Punjab Dr. Balbir Singh, the second training of doctors of Aam Aadmi Clinics of the district for these services was completed today.
He said that the introduction of these new services will greatly benefit the people of cities and villages as they will be able to get these quality services near their homes whereas earlier they had to go far away. On this occasion, Director Procurement Dr. Pawanpreet Kaur also discussed with the doctors and expressed her views on medicines, medical equipment etc.
She said that the Punjab Government is now emphasizing on the need to provide free and continuous health services to the people in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district, including screening and treatment of non-communicable diseases (such as hypertension, diabetes, oral cancer), vaccination to prevent rabies, early identification of malnourished children and treatment management services in Aam Aadmi Clinics.
During the training, District Immunization Officer Dr. Girish Dogra, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Tamanna Singhal, District Epidemiologist Dr. Anamika Soni, Medical Expert Dr. Ishan Sharma, Dr. Inderpreet Kaur shared their views on various topics.
It is noteworthy that on this occasion, 40 general clinics in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district are providing free and continuous health services to the people, which include 48 types of lab tests, 117 types of medicines.
