Hoshiarpur- Under the directions of Commissioner Municipal Corporation Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Sanitary Inspector Sanjeev Kumar Nahar, under the leadership of Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation Sandeep Tiwari, checked the sale and use of single-use plastic in different areas of the city. 
During this, he said that Baba Lal Badshah Ji's fair is being celebrated at Bhagat Nagar, where as per the instructions of Swachh Bharat, the members of the fair committee were made aware about not using plastic and thermocol utensils etc. for langars. 
The Sanitary Inspector and his team appealed to the shopkeepers and residents of the city in the main markets of the city not to use plastic, thermocol utensils and any kind of single use, so that there is no blockage of the sewerage with plastic, thermocol utensils etc. and the city can be made plastic free. 
They also appealed to the residents of the city to keep their surroundings completely clean, so that no kind of disease can spread in the upcoming rainy season. They appealed to the people to cooperate with the Municipal Corporation in maintaining the cleanliness of the city.
