Outsourced Class IV employee Bhan Singh at the Government College of Physics, Patiala, transferred to Karnal; a new charisma of the AAP government - Darshan Lubana.

Patiala: The Class IV Government Employees Union Punjab (1680) has long been demanding that the contract system be abolished in government and semi-government institutions in Punjab and that all outsourced, contract, work-charge, ad-hoc, and daily-wage employees be regularized. However, the Punjab government has now issued an open invitation to agencies/contractors from Haryana and Delhi to exploit Punjab employees by paying them lower wages.

A case in point: Dev Structure India Private Limited, 366-D, Nehru Road, opposite Leela Bharaund, Tilwadi, Bangalore, Karnataka, which is handling outsourced work at the Government College of Physics, Patiala, operated under the Maharaja Bhupinder Singh Sports University, has transferred outsourced Class IV employee Mr. Bhan Singh from this college to Karnataka State South.
The Vice Chancellor/Controller of Sports University has not taken cognizance of these ridiculous orders. The financial exploitation of outsourced employees by this company has been brought to the attention of the union through a rally in front of the Sports University, but union officials have taken no action.
Class IV employees held a protest rally in front of the college against this transfer and against the Sports University officials, and Mr. Bhan Singh sat on an indefinite strike outside the college gate.
Union leaders demanded Bhan Singh's return, the settlement of their demands, and a show of force to the company. Jagmohan Singh Nolkha, Shiv Charan, Ram Yoddha, Ram Kailash, Gurpreet, and others were present.
It was announced at the rally that a rally would be held in front of the Vice Chancellor of Sports University's office to meet the demands of the physical education college employees and prevent Bhan Singh's transfer.
