Chandigarh, June 8- The Haryana government has taken an important step in making the state a healthy, drug-free and environment-sensitive state. Under this, a special yoga fortnight workshop is being organized across the state under the joint aegis of the Sports Department, AYUSH Department, Higher Education Department and Patanjali Yogapeeth on the occasion of International Yoga Day. So far about 9.50 lakh participants have actively participated in this event in the state.

So far about 9.50 lakh participants have actively participated in this event in the state.
Today 1,37,468 people practiced yoga together across the state and 2,640 saplings were planted. A total of 40,721 saplings have been planted so far.
Let us tell you that preparations are being made across the state for the International Yoga Day to be celebrated on 21 June 2025. So that the vision of Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini of "Yoga-friendly-drug-free Haryana" can be realized.
On this occasion, Director General of Haryana Sports and AYUSH Department, Shri Sanjeev Verma said that yoga is not limited to physical activities only but it is a complete lifestyle, which includes self-control, balance and health.
He informed that the citizens of the state can register on the website www.internationalyogadayhry.in to participate in International Yoga Day on 21 June 2025 and can contact on mobile number 9501131800.
Shri Verma said that he has appealed to the people of the state to make Yoga Day a mass movement by registering in maximum numbers.
