Chandigarh- A 02-day special camp has been organized at the Community Center of Sector 42 with the aim of creating awareness about PM Vishwakarma Yojana, old age pension, disabled pension, post office facility and opening new account. This camp was organized on 6th and 7th June 2025 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Senior Deputy Mayor of Chandigarh Municipal Corporation and Councilor of Ward No. 24 Jasbir Singh Bunty was the chief guest of this camp.
Jasbir Singh Bunty, while giving information about the 02-day awareness camp, said that in this camp the general public can take advantage of old age pension, widow pension, disabled pension and skill development schemes. He told that his humble request to all eligible citizens is to take advantage of these schemes by appearing in the camp with the necessary documents and take advantage of PM Vishwakarma Yojana.

This camp was organised for 2 days for 6 schemes like old age pension, widow pension, handicapped pension, skill development schemes and many other schemes. People took advantage of RD account, saving account and Sukanya scheme from the post office. Along with that, Ayushman cards were made for people by Ayushman Bharat.
For those who did not have accounts, new accounts were opened by linking them with Aadhar card and all the issues of pending pension were resolved simultaneously. People were registered in Vishwakarma Yojana today.
With this, they were told that they will have a skill training for five days and along with that you will be given ?500 every day and toll kit items worth 15000/- will be given along with it. After this, their PM Vishwakarma Yojana card will be made and they can apply for a loan of 1 lakh to 3 lakh rupees. Which will be made available to people at just 5% interest.
Jasvir Singh Bunty said that people were facing a lot of problems under normal pension and handicapped pension. But by organizing this special camp, people will get the benefits of old age pension and many other schemes under one roof.
