
Over 100 Donors Participate in Blood Donation Camp Organized by Bihar Foundation & Purvanchal Welfare Association
Chandigarh, August 31, 2025- The Bihar Foundation (Punjab & Chandigarh Chapter) and Purvanchal Welfare Association, Chandigarh in collaboration with the Punjab National Bank, successfully organized a large-scale Blood Donation Camp on Sunday, at the Community Centre near Gurudwara, Sector 35, Chandigarh.
Chandigarh, August 31, 2025- The Bihar Foundation (Punjab & Chandigarh Chapter) and Purvanchal Welfare Association, Chandigarh in collaboration with the Punjab National Bank, successfully organized a large-scale Blood Donation Camp on Sunday, at the Community Centre near Gurudwara, Sector 35, Chandigarh.
The camp drew an overwhelming response from the local community, with over 100 individuals generously donating blood, exemplifying a strong spirit of unity, compassion, and public service. The collected units will be distributed through certified blood banks to patients in need across the region.
The event was graced by Sh. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Hon’ble Member of Rajya Sabha and Chancellor of Chandigarh University, who served as the Chief Guest. Commending the initiative, he stated, "Blood donation is the highest form of humanity. It transcends region, religion, and background. I commend the Bihar Foundation and Purvanchal Welfare Association for bringing people together for such a noble cause."
Adding to this sentiment, Dr. Rupesh Kumar Singh, President of the Bihar Foundation (Punjab & Chandigarh Chapter), emphasized the collective responsibility of society in healthcare initiatives. He remarked, "When communities unite for a common cause, a simple act like donating blood becomes a powerful testament to humanity. Each unit donated today is a promise of life tomorrow."
The event was further enriched by the presence of several other distinguished dignitaries who extended their support to the noble cause. From the Bihar Foundation (Punjab & Chandigarh Chapter), notable attendees included Sh. Pallav Singh, Treasurer and Subodh Singh, a dedicated member of the chapter. Representing the Purvanchal Welfare Association were D.K. Singh, President; U.K. Singh, Senior Vice President; and Rajendra Singh, Chairman of the Chandigarh unit. Also present were senior association members Bhola Rai, Pankaj Yadav, and Ajit Pandey, Director at Chandigarh University. Civic leaders Anil Dubey, Former Deputy Mayor, and Jasvir Singh Bunty, Senior Deputy Mayor, also graced the occasion and encouraged the public-spirited efforts.
The camp was marked not only by its successful blood collection drive but also by the enthusiastic participation of volunteers, supporters, and local residents.
