Una, May 27- Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Una Manoj Kumar held a meeting with the Panchayat Secretaries of the Panchayats joined in the Municipal Corporation Una regarding Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0. The main objective of the meeting was to increase awareness about the scheme in the newly expanded municipal corporation areas and to connect as many eligible beneficiaries as possible to the scheme. Eligibility of the scheme
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, all those families, husband, wife and unmarried children are eligible, whose annual income is less than Rs 3 lakh, who do not already have a pucca house in India, and who are land owners in the Municipal Corporation area. He informed that the last date for application under the first phase of this scheme has been fixed as 31st May.
Municipal Corporation Joint Commissioner Manoj Kumar appealed to the Panchayat Secretaries to do extensive publicity in their areas, and identify eligible beneficiaries and encourage them to apply in a timely manner.
In addition, Municipal Corporation Assistant Engineer Rajendra Kumar Saini said that the application process is completely transparent and the Municipal Corporation will provide necessary technical guidance at every level.
