
Deputy Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of Gau Sanctuary in Naganoli.
Una, May 27- Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of Gau Sanctuary to be built at a cost of Rs 4.46 crore in Naganoli. This Gau Sanctuary will be built on 397 Kanal land. After its complete construction, there will be a provision for 500 cows to live in it in which 6 sheds will be built, out of which 5 sheds will be for cows and one shed will be for fodder. Along with this, other facilities will also be built along with the construction of Pharmacist Residence, so that smooth operation of the sanctuary can be ensured.

While addressing the public meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister said that public participation is very important to bring any work on the ground. He told that stray animals will be brought and kept in this Gau Sanctuary, while separate arrangements will be made for milk-giving animals, so that sources of income can also be generated.
He informed that drinking water schemes worth Rs 28 crore have been prepared for Baliwal, Naganoli, Pubowal and Haroli at a cost of Rs 7 crore each. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the development of any panchayat depends on the commitment of its Pradhan. Construction of a road is proposed in Naganoli Gram Panchayat at a cost of Rs 15.37 crore.
Along with this, a modern indoor stadium is also being built in Khadd College, in which lights will be installed at a cost of Rs 68 lakh. He said that the stadium is being equipped with modern sports facilities, in which high quality lights are being arranged, so that the players can participate in practice and competitions without any trouble even in the evening or at night. This lighting system will be in accordance with international standards and will provide appropriate lighting to the players.
On this occasion, Naganoli Gram Panchayat Pradhan Mehtab Thakur honored the Deputy Chief Minister. Along with this, he expressed his gratitude to the Deputy Chief Minister and gave information about various development works going on in the Panchayat.
Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry Department Vinay Sharma also thanked the Deputy Chief Minister and shared detailed information about the cow sanctuary.
