Garhshankar - The education department has given an opportunity to apply for general transfers from March 12 to March 19. It is to be mentioned that usually the portal for teacher transfers is opened in the month of June, but on the strong demand of the teachers, the portal for transfers has been opened in the month of March itself. This information has also been given by the Education Minister Harjot Bains through social media, but the condition of applying for these transfers is a two-year stay. Due to which many new teachers will not be able to apply and also 4161 newly appointed teachers have not been given a chance to change.
State leaders of 4161 Master Cadre Union Balkar Singh Maghania and Dalwinder Singh said that 4161 Master Cadre teachers should also be given a chance in these regular transfers as most of the teachers are sitting at a distance of 200-300 km from their homes. Most of these teachers are female teachers.
The present teacher leaders said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had also promised to give a chance to all the teachers in his statement in the past. Therefore, the Punjab government should give an opportunity to 4161 teachers for transfer. On this occasion, the present members like Virinder Kaur, Balwinder Kaur, Harvinder Kaur, Kamaljit Kaur, Rajwinder Kaur, Inderpal Kaur etc. have also demanded from the Punjab government that the Punjab government should also give a chance to 4161 teachers like the rest of the teachers.
