
Benefits of welfare schemes should be extended to every eligible beneficiary- Kang

The MP discussed with the officials about the schemes of the Central and State Government and said that there should not be any delay in their implementation. He said that keeping in mind the public interest, the benefits of welfare schemes should be extended to every eligible beneficiary so that people can get the benefits of these schemes.
MLA Dr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhi, MLA Dr. Lok Sabha member Malvinder Singh Kang also reviewed the distribution of funds, ongoing works, progress so far and recently completed works under various projects and schemes in the presence of MLA Dr. Nachattar Pal and Deputy Commissioner Ankurjit Singh and other senior officials. He said that EMP utilization certificate should also be submitted to the concerned officer while the lead fund should be spent on time. The officials said that the fund of Rs 15 lakh should be spent on time.
Under this, Rs 158.47 lakh has been sanctioned, out of which Rs 54.45 lakh has been spent while the remaining work is in progress. The concerned officials were also directed to make more and more people aware about the National Social Assistance Programme Old Age, Widow, Disabled and Family Benefit Schemes for the convenience of the beneficiaries. He further said that 637 eligible beneficiaries were identified in the district under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), out of which houses have been distributed to 508 beneficiaries.
The MP stressed the need for maximum development works under MNREGA in the villages. He said that the first installment has been given to a total of 211 beneficiaries and the first installment has been given to 183 beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). The MP also discussed the progress under Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Pradhan Mantri Adarsh ??Gram Yojana and other schemes.
