SAS Nagar, May 21- Retired Biology Lecturer Mr. Surjit Singh (who retired from Buta Singh Wala School in 2023) at Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Buta Singh Wala awarded cash prizes to the students who secured first position in the school in the results of Board Classes declared by Punjab School Education Board, Mohali.
Attending the programme organised in the school as Chief Guest during the morning assembly, he awarded cash prizes of Rs.5000 each to toppers of Arts Group in Class XII, Simranjit Kaur, daughter of S. Salinder Singh, who secured 479/500 marks (95.8%), and Ramanpreet Kaur, daughter of S. Sukhwinder Singh, a student of Class X, who secured 590/650 marks (90.76%).
Besides this, Hanspreet Kaur, daughter of S. Balwinder Singh, a student of class VIII, who secured 539/600 marks (89.8%) was awarded a cash prize of five hundred rupees. The school also honoured the students by giving them mementoes.
On this occasion Principal Jyoti Chawla welcomed them and the entire school staff thanked them for this noble deed.
