Hoshiarpur- The newly appointed President of Municipal Council Talwara Harsh Kumar Ashu Arora took charge at the Municipal Council office today. In the grand coronation ceremony organized by the Municipal Council under the leadership of MLA Dasuha constituency Advocate Karambir Singh Ghuman, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur Mann, wife of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, attended as the chief guest, while Lok Sabha member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal attended as the special guest.
During her address, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur Mann congratulated the newly appointed Municipal Council President Ashu Arora. She said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is working with full honesty and hard work to make Punjab a colorful and the most prosperous state of the country. Under this, Chief Minister Mann is running a special campaign to make Punjab completely drug free and special efforts are also being made to eliminate corruption from the state.
He said that along with this, the Punjab government has paid special attention to education and health and has made revolutionary changes in these areas. He said that the Punjab government has provided jobs to 55 thousand youth. He said that he hopes that Ashu Arora will leave no stone unturned in the all-round development of Talwara city.
Addressing the program, Lok Sabha member Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is working day and night to save the water and youth of Punjab. He said that he has done unprecedented work for the Kandi area and great facilities have been provided to the people through free electricity.
MLA Advocate Karamveer Singh Ghuman thanked the guests and honored them specially. Municipal Council President Ashu Arora assured to work with full dedication and hard work for the all-round development of Talwara. He said that he will not let the residents of Talwara face any kind of trouble.
On this occasion, District Planning Committee Chairperson Karamjit Kaur, Municipal Improvement Trust Hoshiarpur Chairman Gurbinder Singh Pabla, Area Incharge Mukerian Prof. Gurdhyan Singh Multani, Jagmohan Singh Babbu Ghuman, Prabhjot Kaur Ghuman, Municipal Council Vice President Ankush Sood, Surinder Singh Asal, SDM Kanwaljit Singh and SP Major Singh, besides councillors, village sarpanches, Panch Nambardars, officers of various organizations and committees and city residents were present in large numbers.
