Traffic Police organizes awareness seminar on non-use of drugs and traffic rules at Lawrence Public Senior Secondary School

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, May 19: Under the directions given by Senior Superintendent of Police, District SAS Nagar, Mr. Harmandeep Singh Hans, Captain Police Traffic Mr. Navneet Singh Mahal, Karnail Singh Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic, as part of the campaign against drugs and awareness of traffic rules, a special seminar was organized at Lawrence Public Senior Secondary School, SAS Nagar on Monday to make students aware about non-use of drugs and following traffic rules.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, May 19: Under the directions given by Senior Superintendent of Police, District SAS Nagar, Mr. Harmandeep Singh Hans, Captain Police Traffic Mr. Navneet Singh Mahal, Karnail Singh Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic, as part of the campaign against drugs and awareness of traffic rules, a special seminar was organized at Lawrence Public Senior Secondary School, SAS Nagar on Monday to make students aware about non-use of drugs and following traffic rules.
The main objective of this seminar was to make the students of the school aware about the ill effects of drugs, following traffic rules and the importance of going towards sports.
During this seminar, the school students were made aware that some wrong elements make students addicted to drugs, so protect yourself from such bad elements. Along with this, the students were also told that under Section 199A of the Motor Vehicle Act, if a child below the age of 18 drives a vehicle, then his parents can be imprisoned for 3 years, a fine of up to Rs. 25 thousand and the person who gives a vehicle to a child below the age of 18 can also be imprisoned for 3 years or a fine.
Along with this, the students were made aware of the scheme of giving awards to good Samaritans (good men) run by the government and it was told that if any person helps a person who has met with an accident, then he will be given Rs. 2000 by the government (under the Ferishte scheme).
On this occasion, Principal Satish Kumar, S.P. Singh, Shasi Kumar, Vice Principal Des Raj, Sonia Bagga, M.D. Roy, Sonia Goyal, Sunita Sahni and other staff of "Lawrence Public Senior Secondary School, S.A.S. Nagar" thanked DSP Traffic for organizing this awareness seminar.
S. Karnail Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police Traffic finally motivated all the students to go towards sports. Apart from this, all the students were explained that you should inform your family members about the education received from this seminar and make your family members aware about not driving after drinking alcohol and at high speed and motivate them to follow traffic rules.
