Programme for updating of electoral rolls for remaining elections and by-elections of members of Gram Panchayats issued - Deputy Commissioner

SAS Nagar 18th May: As per the orders of the State Election Commission, a programme (Schedule for Revision of Electoral Rolls) has been issued for updating of electoral rolls for remaining elections and by-elections of members of Gram Panchayats.

SAS Nagar 18th May: As per the orders of the State Election Commission, a programme (Schedule for Revision of Electoral Rolls) has been issued for updating of electoral rolls for remaining elections and by-elections of members of Gram Panchayats.
Giving information in this regard, Mrs. Komal Mittal, District Election Officer-cum- Deputy Commissioner has instructed all Election Car Registration Officers cum SDM Kharar, Mohali and Derabassi that during this campaign, a complete record of newly created, deleted and converted votes should be kept and these should be published as supplementary lists as per the programme given by the Commission.
A special campaign is to be launched by all the Electoral Registration Officers of the district on Monday, May 19, Tuesday, May 20 and Wednesday, May 21 for updating the voter lists for the remaining elections and by-elections of Gram Panchayats, wherever due, on the basis of the eligibility date of May 31, 2025.
During these three days, the officers/employees will go to the villages and receive applications for making new votes, deleting or transferring them through Form No. 1, 2, 3. Apart from this, it is clarified that the work of revision of voter lists should be done only for those Gram Panchayats or wards of Gram Panchayats, where elections are to be held.
