
Making the land of Punjab free from drugs is the main priority of the government - Brahm Shankar Jimpa.
Hoshiarpur- Further strengthening the ongoing ‘War on Drugs’ campaign by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Hoshiarpur assembly constituency MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa launched a drug-free journey in villages Naru Nangal Khas and Naru Nangal Qila.

On this occasion, MLA Jimpa while addressing the villagers said that making the land of Punjab free from drugs is one of the main priorities of the Aam Aadmi Party government. He said that not only the young generation is being affected by drug addiction, but the entire society and family are also suffering from it. The aim of this journey is to make people aware against drugs and make the society drug-free.
MLA Jimpa said that the government is taking strict action against drug peddlers and also has arranged rehabilitation centers and counseling services for people who want to quit drugs.
He appealed to the villagers to support the government in the fight against drug abuse and contribute to making their homes, streets and neighbourhoods drug-free. During this, local panchayats and youth also shared their views and took a pledge to turn this mission into a mass movement.
Local residents, school children, youth and social organizations participated enthusiastically during the drug-free journey. During the journey, people were made aware about the ill effects of drugs through poster rallies, awareness slogans and public meetings.
