This view was expressed by Gurukul International School Principal Geetika Sharma while thanking the Chief Trainer of First Aid Safety Health Awareness Mission Mr. Kaka Ram Verma and Punjab Police Traffic Education Cell Officer Ram Saran during the Disaster Management First Aid Fire and Traffic Safety Training Camp organized in the school.
She said that thousands of people die every day due to heart, brain, lung and excessive bleeding due to sudden incidents, accidents, fire, war, epidemic and not getting proper help on the spot. The future of children and parents can be made safe, healthy, happy and advanced by training students, teachers and general public of cities as well as villages in first aid, CPR, fire, transport, health, drug addiction, kidnapping, cyber security and helping victims during emergency.
Retired training supervisor of Red Cross Society, Mr. Kaka Ram Verma conducted various practicals on related subjects and conducted practice to save precious lives and property in emergency situations. Information was given about the causes and prevention of fire in homes, farms, factories, shops, hotels, gas, electricity, petroleum incidents.
Information was given about first aid, recovery position, ventilator artificial respiration, use of fire extinguisher cylinders, water, soil and ABCD of fire extinguishers. He said that now every student, teacher and citizen should be ready to save dying soldiers and citizens like Bhai Ghanayya Ji during war. ASI Ram Sharan made people aware about following traffic rules, laws, principles, avoiding drug addiction, crime, kidnapping, cyber crime.
They gave training on the use of helpline numbers. Principal Mrs. Sharma thanked them and said that this information will be given by their students, teachers, drivers to people in their homes, families, mohallas and villages. She said that every educational institution must give this training to its students, teachers, staff members and parents.
