Nawanshahr:- All the seed sellers of Block Nawanshahr were given training on 'Saathi' app under the chairmanship of Agriculture Officer Block Nawanshahr Dr. Raj Kumar at Block Agriculture Office Nawanshahr located on Banga Road. On this occasion, Dr. Raj Kumar said that as per the orders of Punjab Government and Agriculture Department, every seed will be sold through Saathi portal.
He said that seed sellers should sell seeds online on the portal this season and fill the necessary information related to seeds on the portal. He said that Punjab Government has imposed a complete ban on hybrid seeds of paddy and Pusa 44, so no seller should sell these seeds. Nodal Officer of Saathi App of Block Nawanshahr, Dr. Kuldeep Singh Agriculture Development Officer gave complete information to all the sellers about running Saathi portal and said that now no seller will sell any type of seed without portal.
If any seller faces any problem in this regard, he can contact the telephone number or office of the Agriculture Department. He said that the objective of the portal is to provide proper and quality seeds to the farmers and to increase the quality of the farmers' produce.
Therefore, all the dealers should provide full support to the Agriculture Department by selling seeds through the portal. On this occasion, Mahinder Singh Khalsa, President of the Dealer Association, assured full support to the Agriculture Department. 23 seed dealers participated in this training program.
