Chandigarh May 14- The Punjab and Haryana High Court today rejected the Punjab government's demand for status quo on the issue of excess water being released to Haryana.
However, the Punjab government has indirectly got relief with the High Court fixing the next date of the case as May 30.
Because the dam filling period starts from May 21. After this date (May 21), Haryana will start getting routine water only. However, during the hearing, BBMB and Haryana had sought time to respond to the review petition filed by Punjab.
