Hoshiarpur- National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) conducted coordination and table top exercise at SDM office Hoshiarpur on Wednesday, May 14 in connection with the mock exercise to be held at Nasrala Bottling Plant, in which NDRF officers and officers of all concerned departments participated.
Assistant Commandant Pankaj Sharma and Inspector Neeraj Kumar of 07 Battalion Bathinda of NDRF said that this mock exercise is based on promoting awareness and coordination especially in the context of industrial security. He said that the main objective of this initiative is to strengthen coordination between various government and industrial departments, increase preparedness to deal with emergency situations and make the public aware about potential threats.
He appealed to all the concerned departments to play a leading role in the mock exercise and made the people aware of the work done by them and resolved to organize such exercises regularly in future also. He informed that a field exercise (mock exercise) will be conducted at Nasrala Bottling Plant on May 14 at around 3 pm.
On this occasion, Naib Tehsildar Inderbir Singh, District Education Officer Lalita Arora, ADFO Shahbaz Singh Bal, Agriculture Officer Hoshiarpur Harmandeep Singh, Chief Warden Civil Defence Lokesh Puri, Sunil Kapoor, Chandra Prakash, Dr. Jagdeep Singh from Health Department, Sudesh Kumar, Dr. Avtar Singh, Dr. Avtar Singh from Animal Husbandry Department, Food Supply Officer Sanjeev Kumar, SDO Water Supply Ravinder Singh, besides officers from various departments were present.
