Sharing the blackout protocol guidelines, the Deputy Commissioner said that a siren means a real danger and even power outage at night should be considered a sign of danger. Therefore, when there is a sign of danger, immediately turn off all the lights. This includes main lights, inverter lights and any type of light that can be seen from outside. Do not light any light even with inverter or generator when the power is off. Keep the windows covered and no light coming from inside. Keep your phones charged in advance.
When there is a blackout or a danger message, immediately take shelter in a nearby building. If the building is multi-storey, then come to the lower floor. Take shelter in a corner inside the building as well. Do not go near the windows. If there is no building nearby, then take shelter under a tree.
If there is no tree, then lie down with your chest on the ground and cover your ears with your fingers while placing your elbows on the ground. If you are driving a vehicle, then stop the vehicle on its side and get under the vehicle and turn off its lights. Lie down in a nearby building or under a tree or in the open as mentioned above. Do not come out of the building until the danger alert is over.
If you see a drone or any flying object, report it to the district level control room on 01882-220412, but do not do any such thing like photography or videography, because while doing so, the light from your mobile screen can put you in danger. Do not step out of your houses during blackout or go on rooftops. He also appealed that solar lights should also be kept off at night.

These things should not be done:-
Do not turn on any light, hide even the smallest light or screen brightness.
There should be no movement of any vehicle or pedestrian after the siren. Stop where you are.
Do not open any window or door. It is strictly forbidden to go outside with light.
Do not forget to consider this as a chance exercise, now every siren is a sign of real danger.
Do not spread rumors and do not believe. Trust only government instructions.
