
Quarterly meeting of Child Welfare Committee held, Deputy Commissioner gave necessary guidelines.
Una, May 5- The quarterly meeting of Child Welfare Committee Una was held on Monday in his chamber under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal. In the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed in detail the work being done by the Child Welfare Committee and gave necessary guidelines. The Deputy Commissioner directed the Child Welfare Committee that any matter related to children should be brought to his notice immediately as soon as it comes to the notice of the committee so that proper solution can be ensured on time.

During this, Child Welfare Committee Chairperson Meenakshi Rana gave information and said that assistance has been provided to 41 children under the Foster Care and Sponsorship Scheme. At present, two child protection and care institutions Prem Ashram and Special School and Child Protection Institute along with Samparshan Grih are operating in Una district, which are working in Samur Kalan.
These institutions are inspected twice every month by the committee so that their smooth functioning can be ensured and proper care of children can also be taken. Apart from this, awareness camps are organized in these institutions to guide and inspire children to adopt good values ??and become responsible citizens.
Apart from this, the committee also runs awareness campaigns by visiting schools about various schemes like POCSO Act, JJ Act, Child Marriage Prohibition Law and other government schemes run for the welfare of children. Child Welfare Committee Chairperson Meenakshi Rana, District Child Protection Officer Kamaldeep Singh and other officials were present in the meeting.
