
Punjab Government releases loans worth Rs 7 crore for backward and economically weaker sections: Dr. Baljit Kaur.
Chandigarh, May 2: Under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is working on a large scale for the welfare of every section of the society. Giving information, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that loans worth Rs 7 crore have been released during 2024-25 to make the youth of backward classes, minorities and economically weaker sections self-reliant in the state.
Chandigarh, May 2: Under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is working on a large scale for the welfare of every section of the society. Giving information, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that loans worth Rs 7 crore have been released during 2024-25 to make the youth of backward classes, minorities and economically weaker sections self-reliant in the state.
Giving more information, Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that so far 248 beneficiaries have been given loans by Backfinco through various schemes, with which they are increasing their family income by starting their own employment or business.
Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the Punjab government is trying to bring backward and minority classes forward in the economic, social and educational sectors, so that they can also join the mainstream.
She said that any person between the ages of 18 and 55, whose annual income is up to Rs 3 lakh, can take a loan for self-employment, higher education or other needs.
The state government is taking new initiatives for the progress of backward and minority classes, which is a good step towards making Punjab prosperous and colorful.
Finally, the Minister appealed to the people that any needy persons belonging to backward or minority classes who want to take advantage of this scheme should contact their nearest Social Justice Department.
