SAS Nagar, May 2 - On the historic day of 315th Sirhind Diwas on May 13, the 15th Fateh March will start from Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Bhawan Rakba at 8 am under the patronage of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and under the leadership of Nihang Singh Baba Balwinder Singh with a convoy of hundreds of vehicles, including elephants and horses, which will stop at more than two dozen places and reach Chapparchiri by noon.

Giving information in this regard, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur International Foundation President Kiran Kumar Bawa, Chandigarh Foundation President Harinder Singh Hans Advocate, Patron Dr. Jagtar Singh Dhiman, Haryana Foundation President Umrao Singh Chhina, America Foundation General Secretary Daljit Singh, Mohali Municipal Corporation Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi, social workers Jaswinder Singh (Jassi) and Pushpinder Sharma said during a press conference here that poets, poets and historians will present their views at Chapparchiri.
They said that this march will leave for Sirhind at 3 pm after having langar to hoist the Fateh flag. The flag hoisting ceremony will be held at 5 pm. After this, it will conclude with prayers at Fatehgarh Gurdwara Sahib.
On this occasion, Mr. Bawa demanded from the Central Government that the route on which Baba Banda Singh Bahadur reached Sirhind Chappar Chiri while fighting wars after the historic union with the tenth father Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on 3 September 1708. The Government of India should mark that route and name it Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Marg and he demanded from the Punjab Government to name the Agricultural University Ludhiana as Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Agricultural University and also appealed to declare May 13 as a public holiday. He said that on this day every farmer should light a lamp of desi ghee on the roof or at the gate of his house, because it was Baba Banda Singh Bahadur who made today's farmers and tenants the owners of the land and issued coins and stamps in the names of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj.
