Lecturer Pawan Kumar Sharma will retire on April 30 after completing 31 years and 1 month of service

Hoshiarpur- Pawan Kumar Sharma, posted as a lecturer in Government Senior Secondary School, Gurubishan Puri (Bhavanipur), is retiring on April 30 after 31 years and 1 month of excellent service. During his service, he not only made significant contributions in the field of education, but also played an active role in social service and made his unique identity in the field. He especially continued to cooperate for the education of needy children.

During his service, he not only made significant contributions in the field of education, but also played an active role in social service and made his unique identity in the field. He especially continued to cooperate for the education of needy children.
Pawan Kumar Sharma was born on April 5, 1967 in the house of Bhagat Ram Sharma and Mata Sheela Devi in Jhonowal village of Beit area. He received his primary education from the village government school and topped in school. He completed his higher education with B.Sc. (Non-Medical) from R.K. from Arya College Nawanshahr, B.Ed from DAV College Hoshiarpur and MA from Panjab University Chandigarh.
Pawan Kumar Sharma started his service as a Science Teacher in Government Senior Secondary School Binewal on 7 April 1994. After being promoted from Teacher to Lecturer on 25 November 2024, he took over as Punjabi Lecturer in Gurubishan Puri (Bhavanipur) School. For his exemplary services, he was honored with a letter of appreciation thrice by Education Secretary Krishan Kumar (IAS) and once by DC Hoshiarpur. Apart from this, he was also awarded the 'Best Teacher Award' by the In-Service Training Center.
More than 20 students scored 100% marks in the subjects taught under his leadership — Science and Punjabi. In the field of social service, Pawan Kumar Sharma also made significant efforts for the development and resolution of the problems of the area while working in various positions of the Beit Bhalai Committee.
 As the co-convener of Voice of the People, he organized blood donation camps and delivered ration and vegetables from door to door during Covid-19 and distributed masks.
Now, after 31 years and 1 month of impeccable service, a special farewell ceremony will be organized in his honor at the school on April 30, in which prominent people of the area will also participate.
