Pathankot- Dr. JP Singh, renowned ophthalmologist at KDI Eye Hospital, Pathankot, stressed the need to increase awareness for eye health during an important meeting with senior journalist Sanjeev Kumar. During the conversation, he shared his views on eye care, increasing eye diseases and the impact of lifestyle changes.
Dr. Singh said that in most cases, blindness and vision impairment can be avoided if timely check-ups are done. He also discussed cataracts, glaucoma, eye diseases due to diabetes and the harms of excessive screen use among the youth.
Sanjeev Kumar, who is active in social awareness campaigns, recommended the quality and affordable treatment facilities being provided by the hospital. He said that the media should act as a bridge in conveying health messages to the people.
On this occasion, information was also given about the modern facilities of the hospital and the free eye check-up camps being run in the villages.
