Subhanshu Shukla appreciates ISRO's efforts to ensure safe journey to space station.

Bengaluru, July 7 - Indian Subhanshu Shukla, currently on the International Space Station as part of the AXIOM-4 mission, has appreciated the efforts of team ISRO to ensure his safe journey to the ISS. The space agency said that Shukla had called ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan on July 6. During this, Narayanan inquired about Shukla's well-being and various scientific experiments and activities being conducted on the ISS.

Department of Space Secretary Narayanan stressed the importance of meticulously documenting all experiments and activities after Shukla's return to Earth, as it will provide valuable insights and inputs for the development of India's human spaceflight programme, Gaganyaan. According to ISRO, the Gaganyaan programme aims to demonstrate India's capability to launch a crewed spaceflight into low Earth orbit and the experience and knowledge gained from this mission will be crucial for its success. Shukla also shared updates on the progress of experiments and activities being conducted on the space station, highlighting the scientific objectives and challenges being addressed.
