Hoshiarpur- Following the directions of State Transport Commissioner Punjab and Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur, Regional Transport Officer Ravinder Singh Gill today conducted a surprise inspection of the Automated Driving Test Track located at Tanda Road Hoshiarpur. During the inspection, strict instructions were given to the security staff that only applicants for driving license should be allowed to enter the track. No outsider will be allowed to enter the track. The details of every person coming on the track will be compulsorily recorded in the register.
He said that all the staff members have been instructed to keep their mobile phones off from 9 am to 5 pm so that there is no disruption in work. He informed that 8 IP-based HD cameras have been installed on the driving test track, which have also been provided direct access to the head office. Through these cameras, the functioning of the staff and driving tests will be monitored.
The Regional Transport Officer appealed to the general public to apply for driving license related services on the 'Saarthi' portal by paying the fee themselves and contact the office directly. Do not apply through any agent or outside person and do not pay excessive amount. Apart from this, the fitness of school buses was checked by the Motor Vehicle Inspector. He directed that fitness certificates be issued to school buses as per the 'Safe School Vehicle Scheme'.
